Privacy notice

This page explains, in plain English, what happens to your information when you use this website or send me an enquiry. It describes what this website actually does, not a generic template.

Who is responsible

This website is run by Danny Wright, trading as Wright Designs Studio, a design, print and website studio operating from 5, The Courtyard, Nuneaton CV10 0AS. I am the person who receives and handles your information: there is no wider team and no call centre.

The enquiry form

When you send an enquiry through this website, you provide:

your name
your mobile number
your email address
your business name, if you choose to give it (this field is optional)
the service you are interested in
any project details you type into the message box

That information is used for one purpose: to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work. It is not sold, rented, shared for marketing, or added to any mailing list. I do not send marketing emails from this website.

When the form is submitted, the details are emailed to me at danny@wrightdesignsstudio.co.uk, and a short confirmation email is sent back to the address you entered so you know it arrived. The website itself does not keep the enquiry in a customer database. The lasting record is the email in my inbox.

The lawful basis is legitimate interests, and for work you go on to order, performance of a contract. In short: you asked me to get in touch, so I do.

Who else is involved

I keep the number of third parties as small as possible. The ones genuinely involved in running this website are:

Lovable — hosts this website and operates the managed email service that delivers enquiry notifications and confirmations from notify.wrightdesignsstudio.co.uk. Enquiry content passes through that service in order to be delivered.
Google Fonts — the two typefaces used across the site are requested from Google's font servers, which means your browser makes a connection to Google when a page loads.
Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies. See the section below.
Facebook — the social feed on the social media page is fetched by my server from Facebook's public page data. Your browser is not tracked by Facebook to display it, and there is no Facebook pixel on this website.
WhatsApp — the WhatsApp buttons are ordinary links. Nothing is sent until you choose to open WhatsApp and send a message, at which point WhatsApp's own terms and privacy notice apply to that conversation.

There is no advertising network, no remarketing tag, no heat-mapping tool and no live chat widget on this website.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets one essential item of local storage, which remembers the cookie choice you make in the banner so you are not asked on every page. Nothing else is required for the site to work.

Analytics is optional. If you accept it, Google Analytics 4 is loaded and sets its own cookies to count visits and show which pages people find useful. Analytics storage is set to denied by default using Google's Consent Mode, so it does not run before you choose, and choosing "Reject non-essential" keeps it switched off rather than simply hiding the banner. I use it to understand which pages are worth improving, not to identify individuals.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which removes the stored choice and shows the banner again.

How long information is kept

Enquiry emails are kept in my inbox for as long as they are useful, which in practice means while there is any chance of the enquiry turning into work, and afterwards for records relating to any project I carried out. Where a project involves invoices, those records are kept for the period required by UK tax rules. Enquiries that never lead anywhere are deleted when I clear them down.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:

tell you what information about you I hold
give you a copy of it
correct anything that is wrong
delete it, where I have no continuing reason to keep it
stop using it for a particular purpose

To do any of these, email danny@wrightdesignsstudio.co.uk or call 07999 090582. Because I run the studio myself, the quickest route is usually a direct message rather than a formal letter. I will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This is a business-to-business website. It is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect information about them.

Changes to this notice

If the website starts using a new tool that handles your information, this page is updated and the review date at the top changes with it.
