Price is only half the question. The other half is when the money moves and what happens if things go wrong, and that is usually the part nobody writes down.
So: a 50% deposit to start, balance on completion. After the first three months, £19.99 a month for hosting, maintenance and support. No contract period, no exit fee, and the domain in your business name from day one.
The terms
Four things, in order.
Scope agreed first
The pages, the wording and the timescale are settled before anything is invoiced, which is what keeps the price fixed rather than drifting.
50% deposit starts the build
The deposit books the work and starts the design. Nothing is due before you have agreed what you are getting.
Balance on completion
The rest falls due when the website is finished and you have seen it. Not before.
Then £19.99 a month
Hosting, security updates, backups, content changes and support, after the free first three months. Cancellable.
What you own
No lock-in, written down.
The domain is yours
Registered in your business name, not mine. It is the single most important line on this page.
The website is yours
Once it is paid for, it is your site. It can move to another host or another designer whenever you choose.
No minimum term
The monthly support is month to month. If you stop it, you keep the site and the domain.
Nothing invoiced that was not agreed
Extra work is quoted before it is done. There are no hourly surprises at the end of a job.
