What the project had to achieve
- Win free quote requests from homeowners comparing local roofers
- Present everything from a single slipped tile to a full re-roof without confusing the visitor
- Rank for roofing searches in Staffordshire towns, not just the county name
What made it tricky
- Roofing is judged almost entirely on visible workmanship, so the proof had to come before the sales copy
- Ten services, from flat roofing to chimney repairs, risked turning the homepage into a list
- Emergency work needs an instant contact route, while re-roofs need reassurance and detail
How I approached it
- A drag-to-compare before and after slider on a real re-roof, placed high on the homepage as the main proof
- A six-card service grid on the homepage feeding individual pages for repairs, new roofs, flat roofing, slate and tile, roofline and emergency work
- A four-step process section: get in touch, free inspection and written quote, agree the work, completion
- Area pages for Uttoxeter, Cheadle, Ashbourne, Alton and Burton upon Trent, with wider Staffordshire towns listed
- Click-to-call and a short quote form repeated so emergency visitors never have to scroll to find them
