What the project had to achieve
- Make a local roofing firm look as capable as any regional contractor
- Put the free written quote in front of people before anything else
- Show clearly that you speak to the roofer, not a call centre or a salesperson
- Cover everything from a single slipped tile to a full re-roof without confusing either
What made it tricky
- Eight services, from repairs to flat roofing and roofline, had to stay easy to tell apart
- Urgent leaks and storm damage needed an instant route to the phone, day or night
- Roofing quotes vary hugely, so the enquiry route had to suit both a small repair and a fortnight of scaffolded work
- The promises made on the site had to be ones the business genuinely keeps
How I approached it
- A confident dark design using the green from the existing SRS logo, with the roofline photography carrying the page
- A hero that states the offer in one line and gives three ways in: call, WhatsApp or a free quote
- A what to expect block covering free written quotes, being genuinely local, speaking to the roofer and leaving the site spotless
- Eight service sections, each explaining what the work involves, the signs you might need it, the materials used and a typical timescale
- An areas section for Lichfield, Tamworth, Burntwood and the surrounding villages
- A gallery of real finished work so the standard is shown rather than claimed
- Click to call, WhatsApp and quote buttons repeated down every page and pinned for phone users

- 01Brief
Agreed that free written quotes and talking straight to the roofer are the two things the site had to lead with.

The full price and scope were agreed in writing before any work started.

Built the dark, roofline-led look around the existing green and grey logo.

Tightened the service copy so each one reads at a glance and moved the areas covered higher up.
